Indian Pharmaceutical industry is the world’s 3rd largest in terms of volume and 13th in terms of value. Industry saw a year-on-year growth of almost 16% and is presently worth around 10% of the global industry size in terms of volume, though only with about 1.4% of the world market share. According to McKinsey Report, Indian pharmaceutical market will growth to US$ 55 billion by 2020. If it scale up to at the same rate, this market will be comparable to all developed market other than US, Japan & China. If count penetration level, India will be at the top, a close to US market. This combination of value and volume will be advantagious for the development of pharma sector in the coming years
